ECU's Jourdan Clark (20) dribbles the ball on the break against Texas A&M-Commerce on Wednesday night. Clark scored a career-high 27 points in the 77-47 Lady Tiger victory.

ADA - Freshman guard Jourdan Clark poured in a career-high 27 points while grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out four assists and recording three steals as East Central University's Lady Tigers hammered Texas A&M-Commerce 77-47 in Lone Star Conference women's basketball Wednesday night in the Kerr Activities Center.

Clark's previous high was 18 points in ECU's last game, which was at home in a loss to Southeastern Oklahoma State.

She was able to do all that damage Wednesday night while also committing one turnover in 31 minutes of play.

Clark knocked down 10-of-14 shots, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, as the Lady Tigers evened their overall record at 11-11 and improved to 3-6 in the LSC North.

Joining Clark in double figures were junior guard Krista Bullis with 11, including a pair of treys, and junior forward Indhira Ramirez, who finished with 10 points and nine rebounds (one away from a double-double).

Another freshman, Regan Browne, contributed nine points, including two 3-pointers, to go with seven rebounds and three assists.

The Lady Tigers were playing without leading scorer and junior guard Casi Rawls, who missed Wednesday's game due to a death in the family.

Sophomore Jordan Thompson started in Rawls' place as she tallied seven points to go with three boards and an assist. Senior teammate Danielle Cox finished with just six points, but distributed the ball well with a team-leading seven assists.

ECU, behind 51.5 percent first-half shooting, rolled to a 41-16 halftime lead while also knocking down 5-of-16 tries from 3-point territory. The Lady Tigers finished at 41.4 percent overall for the game.

ECU also limited the Lions to 25.7 percent shooting overall and only 1-of-13 on 3-point attempts (7.7 percent).

Mattilyn McIntyre topped A&M-Commerce with 17 points and Ashley Murphy finished with 11 and topped her team with seven rebounds.

The Lady Tigers owned a 59-48 advantage on the boards and had three more turnovers than the visitors, 14-11.

ECU scored the first five points of the game, led 9-2 less than three minutes into the contest and eventually built a 29-12 advantage after a Clark steal and layup with 7:42 to go before the break.

A Browne 3-pointer increased the lead to 34-12 with 3:14 left before halftime and Ramirez had back-to-back buckets in the final 1:10 as the Lady Tigers' lead swelled to 25 at intermission.

Emily Holombek collected eight rebounds to go with her three points for ECU.

The Lions fell to 4-17 and 1-8 with the loss.

The next action for the Lady Tigers will be Saturday at Northeastern State in Tahlequah. The LSC North game will tip off at 2 p.m.
